WordPress Tips and Tricks
January 8th, 2006
I seem to be spending more time than is healthy playing with WordPress at the moment. However, we did manage to find time to leave daughter to the station – she’s off to Glenmore Lodge for a week – and then take the dog for a run up Arthur’s Seat. It really is the most amazing urban park – a long-extinct volcano in the middle of a capital city. It was a sunny if hazy winter’s day, with good views of the new Scottish Parliament (I wonder how long we will continue to call it new?).
But back to WordPress – I’ve learned a few interesting tricks in building the Community Council site, which I’m now trying to document in HOW-TOs on this site – see Library -> Software (Hmm, maybe that isn’t the most intuitive place to look…). I’m also trying to be a good corporate citizen by answering the odd query on the WordPress Support pages. In these small ways I try to further the cause of open-source, and repay my debt to those folks who have made WordPress the great blogging tool it is today.

I am currently moving my site to WordPress, and have found your WordPress ‘How To’ articles to be very helpful. It would be nice if you could allow comments on these pages, so those with questions could hopefully learn more.
I look forward to the next installment.

Comments are allowed – and appreciated! – but moderated. That stops the site being filled by spam bots.
