Lovely day in the Ochils, with the weather varying from blue skies and brilliant spring sunshine, to grey skies with light hail showers in a brisk westerly wind. Fortunately we were back down and in the pub before the rain started lashing down seriously.

Launched the Why OpenOffice.org theme on the mailing lists last night, leaving the plumbers to work out the best way to deploy it on the site. Cristian has been a genius behind the scenes on this one – it’s great to have people of his calibre to bounce ideas off. I can see it making a great conference theme too, as it can work both as an explanation for case studies – “Why OpenOffice.org has been such a success in this area” and also as a question for workshops / brainstorms – “Why is OpenOffice.org the right choice for perople upgrading from MS-Office?”

I’d like to see some cool Why artwork – maybe La Mouette scratching her head for the question sessions, and looking as if she’s just had a great idea for the explanation sessions.

The possibilites are endless… time to spring-clean the OpenOffice.org marketing project!
