Back from a net-free week to an absolute mountain of emails. Fortunately (?) dozens had been generated by my mailserver, complaining that a disk was full. Once that was corrected, the backlog didn’t look that terrible.

The Call for Papers for the OpenOffice.org Conference has generated a huge last-minute rush of submissions (why does everyone leave it to the last minute?). The selection committee are going to have their work cut out whittling the conference agenda down to a manageable number. The pre-registration is now available on-line too.

I just have to find out why the hotel I want to stay in isn’t replying to my emails. Maybe I need to summon up my schoolboy French and ring them up tomorrow night (groan)…
