Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Hmm, my normally highly reliable cable broadband connection has been playing silly beggars since lunchtime, and now suddenly I have a new IP address. Co-incidence?
So, goodbye 82.41.57.20 which has been my faithful companion for the past five years or so, and hello 92.235.187.79. And thank you ddclient for making the transition painless..

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Over the past week I have reviewed the six bids to host the OpenOffice.org Annual Conference 2008 (OOoCon): Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Beijing, China; Bratislava, Slovakia; Budapest, Hungary; Dundalk, Ireland; and Orvieto, Italy. Budapest, Hungary

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

This is one of a series of reviews of the rival bids to host the OpenOffice.org Annual Conference 2008 (OOoCon).
Proposal
The Hungarian proposal is comprehensive. Their answer to the Key Question is short, but uses bullet points to make its point concisely. The Mandatory section is complete with a comprehensive section on visas. The Optional [...]
