Bratislava, Slovakia
February 21st, 2008This is one of a series of reviews of the rival bids to host the OpenOffice.org Annual Conference 2008 (OOoCon).
Proposal
The Slovakian team have produced a comparatively brief proposal, using just over half the permitted word count to answer the Key Question. The Mandatory section is complete, although with minimal visa information. The Optional section contains travel and accommodation listings. There is no Supplementary information. Score: 2/5
Why Bratislava?
The proposal states that OOo has a strong base in the country, and mentions likes to other neighbouring Eastern European countries. The team propose using OOoCon to boost OOo in education – and so to young people – and in the public sector. Score: 2/5
Koper Factor
Just a couple of sentences about the social and community side of the conference, but no links to local tourist office websites etc. Not really enough information to judge whether this could be a great community experience. Score: 1/5
