The OpenOffice.org Annual Conference is the premier get together of the OpenOffice.org Community, including developers, users, supporters, etc from all round the world. Florian and I have been busy with the organisers of OOoCon 2008 in Beijing, working out timetables, sponsorship packages, encouraging potential speakers, and most important of all, choosing the OOoCon 2008 logo. The winning image – a stylised image of the Temple of Heaven – is shown on the right (ok, I admit, I voted for a cute panda, but I was outvoted…)

Following an evening of updates, the results are now visible on the OOoCon 2008 website. If you haven’t already marked the date in your diary, do so now – Beijing, November 5th-7th. If you are planning to present a paper, check the Speakers’ page now. If your organisation, company, public administration, etc would like to show its support for OpenOffice.org in a very public way, now is your opportunity.
