Shifting to OpenOffice.org and Ubuntu saved us more than a bundle, thus giving us the opportunity to provide our students with more, and better computers. And for a “third world” country like ours, OOo is “heaven sent.” Just today, I finished setting up 40 brand new desktops with OOo and Ubuntu

Our office is slowly but steadily shifting to OOo; am just easing the transition for the employees to get the feel of using OOo.

I also started to offer CDs with OOo to our students and employees. In due time, I will try convincing some corner-desktop-printing services around here to give OOo a try. And the local government too.
