Coming to a small screen near you…
September 3rd, 2008OK, so I’ve discovered that, with enough patience, my Eee PC (original 701 model) can successfully rip DVDs to a USB memory stick. The acid test is now: will the battery last long enough to play back the DVD
I used The Shawshank Redemption as a test, playing back through headphones with both the volume and the screen brightness about 80% of maximum. WiFi was off. After 1 hour 4 minutes, the Eee was reporting 60% battery left – suggesting 2 hours 40 minutes total battery life. At 1 hour 57 it was 30% – 2 hours 47 life. When the movie finally finished at 2 hours 16 minutes, there was still 20% left – suggesting 2 hours 50 minutes.
So, it won’t quite do epics like Gandhi (at 3 hours 18 minutes), but for your average movie, the Eee will do the job. Nice one Asus.

Honestly, I am voiceless. The Shawshank Redemption is fabulous. I’am not too old film fanatic, in fact, this film came out whenI was born, and hence I am to a greater extent accustomed films with improbable special effects, edge-of-your-seat action, et cetera. This film has no of that, and however, it appeals me really much . The way Frank Darabont uses the tale of Red to drive on the story, the beauty of the movie music utilized (note the harmonica used merely before Red receiving the letter at the end). The entire movie, from starting to end, from actions to music, is a lighthouse of desire, judgment, and repurchase. The cast is mastered, Morgan Freeman(Red) really brings about a refreshing feel to the film, and that is precisely what the movie is, what a movie should be. Really recommended for every and everyone.
