Personally, I would to stay away from social networks (I think there are so many and everybody loves its own), unless there are some standard that can be used to interface with them, but I am not aware of it. Personally, I'd rather appreciate some integration with Firefox / Thunderbird/ Lighting, if any... Pretty good idea, it remember me of the early days when StarOffice (rel.5 if I remember) had its own dashboard/ file manager.
