This is actually a recipe for Atholl Brose, a delightful drink but not strictly speaking brose.
A simple recipe for Brose is a handfull of medium oatmeal, pinch of salt and boiling water. Stir furiously and leave to settle and cool a little. Either eat as it is, pour over some milk or cream or even yoghurt and enjoy. You might need to experiment until you get it right. In essence, a little like uncooked porridge but made with oatmeal rather than oatflakes. Dead easy to make, really nutritious and actually quite tasty.
