Ambling around Glossa

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

A windy night, and in t-shirt and shorts it felt a bit chilly going down to breakfast. We began to wonder about our journey home on Saturday, as the Flying Dolphin is diverted to Agnonta if it’s too windy at Skopelos. However, it looked like good walking weather, so 10:15 saw us waiting for the [...]

Walking … it’s what we do 2

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

We decided it was time to get some walking under our belts today. We piled onto the 10.30 bus from Skopelos to Glossa and got off at Palio Klima about an hour later, ready to head to the hills. It was a bit overcast, not so good for sun worshippers on the beach, but ideal [...]

Rachel had been turning her charm on him last night to persuade him to rejoin the party afterwards [...]

We felt a bit out of place heading off for the hills with rucksack, long trousers, and long sleeved shirts (I [...]

Off to Skopelos (maybe)

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

Off to Skopelos – the “Mamma Mia island” – for Robert and Rachel’s wedding next Monday. Rachel had gone out to Skopelos a week earlier to make arrangements, and we were expecting to meet up with most of the other guests en route. Alarm clock went off at 5am. Switched on the radio and heard [...]

IP therefore I am

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Hmm, my normally highly reliable cable broadband connection has been playing silly beggars since lunchtime, and now suddenly I have a new IP address. Co-incidence? So, goodbye 82.41.57.20 which has been my faithful companion for the past five years or so, and hello 92.235.187.79. And thank you ddclient for making the transition painless..
